1. About this App

The App is an independent educational guide. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Mercor. It does not provide a Mercor account, accept job applications or resumes, conduct interviews, or process payments for work.

You do not need to register or create a profile to read the guide. The App does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, or precise device location.

2. Information stored on your device

The App stores downloaded guide content, cached images, advertising consent choices, and settings used to control advertising frequency. This helps content load efficiently and supports offline reading. These local records are not a job applicant profile.

You can remove local App data using Android’s app storage controls. Uninstalling normally removes local App data, although device backups may retain or restore some information depending on your Android backup settings.

3. Advertising and Google services

The App integrates Google AdMob and may display banner, interstitial, App Open, and native advertisements. Google’s Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares information for advertising, measurement, diagnostics, and fraud prevention. This can include IP addresses, approximate location inferred from IP addresses, app interactions, performance information, and device or account identifiers such as the Android advertising ID and app set ID. Processing depends on settings, available identifiers, and applicable consent choices.

Google’s User Messaging Platform is used to request and manage advertising privacy choices where required. When available, you can revisit these choices through the privacy options in the App’s About screen. Android also provides advertising ID controls. Non-personalized advertising does not necessarily mean that no data is processed.

4. Online content and hosting

When online content is configured, the App connects over HTTPS to retrieve guide content and advertising configuration. It may also download images from configured image hosts. These services receive information necessary to handle requests, including your IP address, requested resource, and request time, and may keep operational or security logs.

These requests support content delivery, reliability, and configuration updates. They do not submit a resume or application to Mercor. Hosting providers and image services may process data in countries other than your own.

5. Messages you send us

If you contact us, we receive the email address and information you choose to include. We use this information to respond and resolve your request. Do not send interview recordings, identity documents, bank details, or other sensitive application information to this guide’s support contact.

6. Sharing, retention, and security

Information may be processed by advertising, hosting, and email service providers as described above. We may also disclose information when necessary to comply with applicable law or protect rights and security.

Local information remains until replaced, cleared, or removed, subject to device backup behavior. Support messages and hosting logs are retained as needed for their stated purposes and applicable obligations. Service providers apply their own retention practices; clearing the App’s storage does not delete information already processed by those providers.

The App uses HTTPS for online content, and Google documents encryption in transit for Mobile Ads SDK data. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices and requests

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection to processing, or to withdraw consent. Contact us using the details below to make a request. We may need information to verify and locate the relevant records. For information controlled by Google, its privacy tools and contact channels may also be relevant.

Where applicable, you may raise a concern with your local data protection authority. Privacy choices do not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before consent was withdrawn.

8. Children

This career-related guide is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and address the request.

9. External services and policy changes

Advertisements or privacy links may open services outside the App. Those services have their own privacy policies. This policy does not govern Mercor’s platform or recruitment practices.

We may update this policy when the App or its data practices change. The revised policy will be posted here with an updated date; additional notice will be provided where required.
